Making the desks

I have choose this blog post because we went to Wesley intermediate and they helped us make some desks for our class. Me and my buddies went to Wesley intermediate and we started sandpapering the top and the holes for the legs to fit in. What we found tricky was estimating the size for the legs but luckily we worked as a team and worked together. The boys did the legs the right size and the girls did the right size for the legs to fit in. How we overcame it: We overcame it by guessing and just stopping and putting the legs in the holes to see if we needed to adjust some changes to make it bigger or if it was the right size. What I found funny was looking at the mistakes and laughing about them and not teasing each other about our own mistakes because we all made it together and we laughed about it together and learnt from it together.

My Origami Swans

Before making this my goal was to help others and be resilient but people helped me and I was resilient. This is what my class has been doing. I have chosen this post because my class had done it and we didn't do it independently and we helped each other to make a good origami. What we had found challenging was making them look cool and nice and making them stand up firmly by themselves. What I found fun about this activity was making the organisms without so much noise and what I also liked about this activities is that we get to use the chrome books as well as the papers I over came it by asking other people to help me and show me some of the things to do because there was only visual text and I didn't really get it.

How To Ride A Bike

What I found challenging was getting it finished without getting distracted and putting where we got the picture from without clicking on the web. What I found fun was getting to do this interdependent and getting to chose what you have to write about. Lastly what I found weird is that my slide keeps going to fast so that means that you have to go and stop through the slide.

ENJOY!

my breakfast slide

My buddies and I collected data from the room 9 students. We all made different graphs to show the data in ways that other people can understand. What I found challenging was making mistakes and looking back at them afterwards and laugh because they we're all funny. What I enjoyed was making and learning different graphs in maths.

Breakfast poster

My partner and I have been collecting data from younger students to see they eat breakfast. Most of them eat breakfast but only 2 of them eats breakfast sometimes. So we are trying to perspired them to come along and eat breakfast at school. I really enjoyed it because my partner and I used teamwork and talked through everything and we made this and it wasn't to long but it was fun doing it with a partner that I haven't been with yet. What I found hard was choosing and deciding what was better and what was more easier to do. We tried doing it on a paper but it took us far to long so we made a google drawing and it only took us literally 2 minutes.

Earthworms

I chose this post because my partners and I have been learning and researching about earthworms. My buddies and I also think it is a great idea to make our reports about earthworms so that we could share facts and help you to learn more things you didn't know about earthworms. What we found challenging is finding a good fact about earthworms. We overcame it by looking for more details during our time and putting it into our thinking doc.

My KWL report

I have chosen this report because My group and I found a earth worm and chose to write a report on it to explain the different facts about them.I enjoyed taking care of the earth worm and observing for different facts about them. What I found challenging is when we had to pick up the worm and it was wriggly and started to tickle my hand. But I over came it by letting move around from one hand to the other.I had thought that looking for facts about segments were challenging but I could set as a goal and I achieved it.

Animal: Earth worms

It is very fast
It is wriggly
It is long
It is a earth worm

It can be stung by concert

I want know why they stay in soil for their habitat.

I wonder how they work and what they use to work

I wonder if there is any other
worm looks common to a earthworm and how can we tell a difference

I wonder what their enemies are and how they defend themselves and why they have enemies.

I wonder why they eat dead, yuck leaves when they can eat fresh leaves

I wonder how many they reproduce in one go and how they take care of them

I wonder if they make food for their babies without gathering them.

I wonder if they are enemies to anyone else and if they are enemies to a earwig

Earthworms live in the soil on earth.

Earthworms has 100-150 segments.

There are 2,700 different kind of worms

Open Day at Wesley Intermediate School

I have chosen to post this because I liked these parts of my day and the part I found challenging was when we had to flatten them down using a fork.I had over came it by asking Selena for help and she was really kind.I am really looking ford to going there next year.

My Open Day At Wesley Intermediate

On Friday we went to Wesley Intermediate. All of room 3 went for open day and it was really fun.We had been split into two groups and the blue group went to the cooking class with a lovely old lady called Mrs.dunne. And the other group called the red group went to the workshop with Mr.ready.Mrs.Dunne thought us how to bake some delicious chocolate cookies.

We all went to a station and had a helper with us my partner was Selina and she was quite funny. When we had finished our cookies we wrapped it into a bag and went marching back to the hall.I took a little nibble and then “CRUNCH!” the cookie crunched in my mouth as I slowly ate it.The little chocolate chips were melting in my mouth and the crumbs were so delicious.

Next we played side by side basketball and it was so much fun.Chris our leader and Lupe our other leader had got called out and Chris was standing on the other side of the other team goal it was about this long and Chris shot the ball from the other end of the,the in the beginning.
After the bell went we didn’t need to go into our same groups but we got into two different groups. They also got to chose which one they want to do.One team went to music with Mr. Mauri and one went to PE with Mr.Ball.I had choose PE because I liked to do PE and I also wanted to be in the group that was doing music because I really wanted to go and watch the band preform. But in the end I had chosen PE and I enjoyed and Mr.Ball said a really good compliment saying: “Your children out of all schools have the best skills out of all schools I had done.”

We all went home happy and Mr.Margetts was also happy to hear good compliments about us.

A Day With Sanitarium

The task was to make your name and eat your name plus make your own delicious Chickpeas burgers and add a little coulsaw on the side.I enjoyed the parents and helpers come in and help us plus I also enjoyed spending the time with Jemma and helping them clean up afterwards.

IMG_0283.JPGIMG_0284.JPG

I had finished burning the edge of my fingertip and making an ‘N’ out of an orange plus getting mayo in my hair and dropping some of the chickpea pattie on my pants too but other than that it was an AWESOME day with the Sanitarium…….I had just kept going as if it didn’t hurt and as if I didn’t care about it because there wasn’t that much on my hair and I liked getting food on my pants because I had a apron on so I didn’t care.I also enjoyed being and cooking with my friends!

What Is A Star?.....

What Is A Star?

The Star is a shiny piece of diamond made from gold.

It is a mirror reflecting on the sun to make it shine hard.

The Star is a silver coin pushed into a drain of sorrows, happiness and wonder

It is a formation of pictures and Matariki.

The Star is as bright as the sun in the day.

I have chosen this document because I am happy with what I have done and I had made it my best work.I enjoyed doing this poem because I was really looking foward to this I really hope we do another one
